World Health & Safety Day

Dragages Hong Kong and our parent company – Bouygues Construction’s top priority is the health and safety of the teams who work on its construction sites. Aware of our responsibility, our parent company Bouygues Construction went one step further, introducing a standard based on 12 “basic rules” applied on all construction sites in all 80 countries where the Group is active. To mark its strong commitment, the Group carried out an operation on an unparalleled scale on 13th June: the World Health & Safety Day. Virtually all construction sites set aside work for half a day so that employees and the personnel of partner companies – some 100,000 people in all – can be reminded of the Group’s health & safety priority and its drive to achieve “zero accidents”.
In line with our parent company’s initiative, Dragages Hong Kong held the event on the same day with staff from all our work sites and head office. Some 3,000 colleagues, from front-line workers to senior management, and our clients gathered at four locations to proclaim “We Love Life, We Protect It”.
