As part of our long-term commitment to building a sustainable city, Dragages Hong Kong actively supports our charity partners, the industry and our community, in line with the principles of our *CSR Committee.

In March 2015, we rendered our support to the ‘Build a Better Hong Kong’ campaign, jointly organised by the Development Bureau and the Construction Industry Council.  HK$500,000 was donated to the Construction Charity Fund which provides immediate financial assistance to families of construction workers who are severely injured or have lost their lives in industrial accidents.

We have also pledged a corporate sponsorship of HK$200,000 to the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) recently, in support of the French Chamber Foundation’s Lunch Club, which operates five days a week and serves some 50 people every day. The Club provides healthy subsidised lunch sets and workers can enjoy them at a low price of HK$10. The Club is also a platform for training, coaching and job matching.

Our HK$150,000 corporate sponsorship to the Lantau Development Alliance (LaDA) in support of its Youth Career Development taskforce is likewise reaping excellent results. In addition to job matching in the Lantau district, the taskforce provides training and mentorship programmes to youngsters, designed to help them fully realise their potential.

In line with the Government’s initiative to enhance less privileged youths’ capabilities, Dragages has been a sponsor of the Government’s “Future Stars” programme since its launch in 2014. In May this year, our project team and CSR Committee members welcomed a group of teenagers to visit our Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge – Hong Kong Link Road project.

Support from our parent company

Our parent company, Bouygues Construction, provides a Corporate Foundation ‘Terre Plurielle’ to financially support charity projects initiated by the Group’s employees. Our CSR Committee successfully applied to the Foundation in early 2015 for two initiatives.

A total of 10,000 euros was granted for the renewal of musical instruments at Hong Chi Winifred Mary Cheung Morninghope School, and a further 6,000 euros was granted to support the Hong Kong Federation of Handicapped Youth.
