Beyond COVID-19: Care for Our People as well as Our Community

16 June 2020

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Dragages Hong Kong has strictly enforced precautionary measures at all levels of the company. Daily temperature checks for all employees, providing face masks to all employees to wear in their workplaces, requiring all employees to fill in a health declaration form when resuming work, frequent disinfecting of all the workplaces, and providing hand sanitizers for our employees and guests to use any time, have all become standard practice.

“We are very grateful for the cooperation and support from all our employees and partners over the past few months to combat the challenges associated with COVID-19” said Wes Jones, Managing Director of Dragages Hong Kong.

Apart from our employees, Dragages Hong Kong has also extended our care to the people in need in society during this difficult period. In recent months, we have mobilized the Dragages volunteer team to pack face masks, hand sanitizers, immunity boosting tea bags, fruits and leaflets with health tips into individual anti-pandemic kits. We worked with different community partners, including Construction Industry Council, TWGHs Jockey Club Rehabilitation Complex and the Neighborhood Advice-Action Council Tung Chung Integrated Service, to distribute the anti-pandemic kits to construction workers, elderly people, low-income households, and people with physical or intellectual impairment, with the objective to bring a relief to their face mask shortage and equip them with personal hygiene materials for personal protection.
