Dragages Hong Kong Limited’s commitment to safety was recognised today with the award of three prizes at the annual Construction Industry Safety Award, held by the Labour Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the key stakeholders of the industry.

 
The aim of the scheme is to raise awareness of safety and health issues across the construction sector, to foster a positive safety culture and to encourage the adoption of safe work practices.

 
Two of Dragages’ projects were recognised at the prestigious awards ceremony. Dragages’ CLP Castle Peak Cable Tunnel won the Silver Prize in the ‘Safety Team’ category, as well as the Bronze Prize in the ‘Civil Engineering Site’ category.

 
Dragages’ work on the Ocean Park Redevelopment was recognised with the Merit Award in the ‘Civil Engineering Site’ category.

About Dragages’ projects:

The CLP Castle Peak Cable Tunnel Project allows for the installation of cables from Castle Peak and Black Point Power Station to the Tuen Mun area. The tunnel passes through a mountainous area that stretches from the western end of Castle Peak Power Station to the Tuen Mun town centre.

The 4.5 kilometres long tunnel is being bored using a double shield hard rock tunnel boring machine (TBM) equipped with a tunnel segment erector. The internal diameter of the cable tunnel is 4.5 metres and allows for eight high voltage cable circuits to be installed.More

The Ocean Park Redevelopment is being carried out by Dragages Hong Kong in joint venture with its parent company Bouygues Travaux Publics. The major scope of the project includes the excavation of an existing mountain to provide a platform for additional attractions, a funicular tunnel and termini linking the Lowland and Headland park areas.More
